We've had two horrible pest experiences. The first time, we called Orkin, and they basically did nothing, plus the service was expensive and totally impersonal. The second time we called Pestec, and they were amazing. We had a perplexing situation that took a couple of visits to figure out and by the third time the CEO Luis showed up and was determined to find the problem. He ultimately visited us three times and the team (Valentine was also great) worked very hard -- including moving a 25 foot ladder around the entire perimeter of the roof to find and close all holes and busting out a wall to investigate behind it. They were sympathetic and responsive to my concerns and the source was finally discovered and problem eliminated. If you have a pest issue in the Bay Area, this is definitely who you should call. - Elena S.

I was getting bitten pretty much every night and suspected that it was bed bugs. After a few sleepless nights, I called out one company to do a hand/manual inspection, and they said it was just carpet beetles. I wanted a second opinion so after a few more sleepless nights, I called Pestec to do a canine inspection. From Day 1, the customer service was ON POINT. After that, each visit and interaction from Pestec was professional and courteous. Best of all, here we are 3 months later with no bed bugs! - Ashley D.

Excellent customer service. I contacted Pestec because I thought we had bed bugs. Colin, the office manager was professional, knowledgeable, and patient. I was panicked that we might have bed bugs. Colin thoroughly answered my questions over the phone and my long list of questions over email. The information he provided was very helpful and I can use it to prevent bed bugs from entering into our home. Valentin inspected our home with his K-9. He arrived on-time and explained how the inspection process would work. After the K-9 inspection, he thoroughly checked bed frame(flipped bed frames), mattress, sheets, wall hangings, sofa, all the places that the K-9 suspected of bed bugs. The inspection took about 1 hr. Thankfully, we do not have bed bugs. Valentin was knowledgeable as well and gave me suggestions of what could be biting us since it's not bed bugs. We were getting mysterious bites in our home. Zach of Pestec identified the problem as rat mites, found where the rates were entering, sealed up the house and dusted the crawl space. He trapped all the rats and none have come into our house since. Sans rats, the rat mites died off and for the first time in six months we're not getting bitten. Zach knew just what to do, explained his plan clearly and consulted us every step of the way. We are greatly relieved and very grateful to Zach and Pestec. - Sam Z.

My lovely cat caught a mouse, killed it in the house and then left it on my bed for me. I was panicking thinking that if there's one, there's others, and my biggest fear was that one of them was going to gnaw on me while I slept. So I checked out the reviews for Pestec and so appreciate them sending Alfred out to take care of the problem. Alfred was very patient with my questions, made me realize that we could beat the mice (ended up being a rat which is even more icky) at their game, and he set out to get rid of them. He did the inspection and pointed out the different areas that needed to be plugged, patched, covered over, etc, and explained to me what I needed to do to keep rodents out. He did the follow up visits, always checking various areas to see if there was anything I missed. Alfred was absolutely awesome and Pestec, if you're reading this review, Alfred is an outstanding representative of your company. As I told him today on the final visit, I hope I never see him again, but if any other issues come up, I wouldn't hesitate to give Pestec a call. - Judy N.

Pestec treated my apartment for bedbugs a week ago and I haven't seen a live insect since then. Pestec's employees are environmentally conscious and use pesticides sparingly. They idenfitied the source of the infestation, treated the infested area with cedar oil, used a small dose of pesticide, and recommended taking practical steps like encasing my mattress. The only thing they could have done better is to tell me that it requires two people to encase a mattress. - Elaine T.

I called Pestec for a gopher problem in my front lawn that was getting out of control quickly! I called and spoke with Mikail who gave me answers to all my questions. I made an appointment and got a follow up email confirmation immediately. A very nice and knowledgeable guy named Ricky showed up exactly on time and set seven traps. An appointment was made (during my initial call) for the follow up appointment and he again showed up exactly at 8am. He had captured two gophers in the front lawn. Both visits he took time to give me all sorts of information about the procedure, results and follow up. The main office, Samantha to be specific, sent me a follow up report within 30-45 minutes!
